OcuSolve™ Eye Wash has multiple mechanisms of action:

• OcuSolve™ combats biofilms. A biofilm is a colony of microbes that excrete sticky material that forms a matrix or grid
• It is estimated that nearly 70% of all infections requiring treatment are due to the formation of biofilms. This film forms to protect the colony of microbes
• The REGEN BIO-HOCI molecule of Ocusolve penetrates and disrupts the biofilm and microbial cell membranes
• OcuSolve™ is thus able to create a challenging environment for invasive pathogenic conjunctivitis

OcuSolve™ is an oxygen-rich solution

Each type of oxygen has its own mode of action and ability:

• It is a powerful antimicrobial agent capable of eradicating antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria, viruses and fungi without promoting the emergence of new resistant strains of infection
• Multiple studies have shown that REGEN BIO-HOCI (OcuSolve™) has a broader and more effective antimicrobial spectrum than any conventional prescribed treatment

In patients with chronic uveitis, secondary glaucoma, secondary cataract and optic nerve damage are the most common causes of preventable visual impairment, which we believe is treatable. The association with chronic inflammatory activity and the ease with which it can be treated confirm the importance of including a safe and effective anti-inflammatory Zynamed Ocusolve™ in any treatment regimen.

Zynamed OcuSolve eye drops are a life-changing advance in the treatment of uveitis. Our patented ECA technology mimics the same oxychlorin composition produced by neutrophils in the body's immune system.

Zynamed Ocusolve™ (with hypochlorous acid) is naturally produced by our white blood cells and is an essential part of our immune system. This process is called phagocytosis and is one of nature's symbiotic actions - without evidence of induced microbial resistance.

Zynamed OcuSolve™ with (HOCl) has a potent broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity that includes antibiotic-resistant bacterial strains (including MRSA and VRE), viruses, fungi, and spores, as demonstrated in numerous studies 1,2,5,6,8,12,13, while reducing inflammation and increasing oxygen (O2) levels in treated tissue.

There are no ocular toxicity concerns with HOCL. Zynamed OcuSolve™ is biocompatible, non-toxic and non-sensitizing, making it safe for regular use.

As part of the immune response to microbial proliferation, mast cells flood the site of infection, contributing to inflammation. A significant part of the efficacy of HOCl is due to its anti-inflammatory effect, which results from its modulating action on the mast cell response.

A study by Medina-Tamayo et al43 suggests that a neutral PF superoxidized solution (SOS) acts like a membrane-stabilizing inhibitor on mast cells and inhibits the cellular machinery for granule secretion without altering signal transduction pathways. In addition, many studies, including Sakarya et al,44 show that HOCl produces significant healing as well as a substantial reduction in inflammatory signs.

The added benefit is that the dissolved oxygen (O2) in Bettamed Ocusolve eye drops improves oxygen balance to fight infection, reversing tissue damage and potential vision loss caused by uncontrolled inflammatory processes.47,48,49
